Phil has more than 20 years of experience in healthcare finance and technology, working first-hand in provider, health insurer and self-funded employer environments. He began his technology career designing and building orbital prediction and planning software at NASA’s Johnson Space Center. Phil previously directed the development of on-premise and software as a service offering for RelayHealth, a division of McKesson. Subsequently, he was one of the founders and original technology designers of Benefit Informatics, a medical analytics software company acquired by Benefitfocus in 2010. Phil also held a number of technology and operational roles in the Benefitfocus organization after the acquisition, including COO of the Benefit Informatics product line and senior vice president of Technology Infrastructure.
Today, Phil is responsible for managing the overall technology strategy for EHN along with product management, design and engineering. His passion for the customer and ability to focus technology projects to solve business problems in practical ways drive him to build products and services for EHN that benefit the provider, patient and employer stakeholders.
Phil received his bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Oklahoma, his master’s degree in physical science from the University of Houston and his MBA from Oklahoma City University.
