Cary H. Smith

President

Cary H. Smith has a 30-year history of progressive advancement in healthcare administration in many areas, including: physician practice management, business process outsourcing, and commercial provider network development for self-funded employers. For the last 15+ years, Cary has concentrated on provider network development for self-funded employer groups, employer direct-contracting, correctional healthcare management, as well as representing not-for-profit hospitals in their negotiations with large carriers.

Cary pioneered the concept of analyzing provider cost reports to develop proprietary network pricing models for hospitals, which model revenue, costs, margin and facilitate hospital pricing models based on better controlled and predicted methodologies. Cary and his teams through Clarion Management Solutions and now Employers Health Network and their employer clients have developed focused and high-performance networks nationwide.

Cary has a BS in Business Administration with a minor in statistics from the University of Central Florida, as well as a Master’s in Business Administration from the George Herbert Walker School of Business at Webster University in St. Louis Missouri.
